Oni is a robot that debuted in Series 3 of Banter wars built by Nighthawk87.

Oni is a somewhat unusually shaped robot with a wedged front, a trapezoidal rear and wheel guards made from connectors. It's weapon is a spiked club operated by a Snapper2 burst motor. The drive system consists of two wheels that utilize Z-Tek motors powered by a Supervolt battery and two small battery packs. While Oni is technically invertible, the club impedes it's mobility while upside-down and needs to be fired regularly in order for it to keep moving.

Oni's debut appearance was in Banter Wars Series 3 where it was drawn against An Ordinary Robot 3, Let's A Go, Chasm ULTRA, Quantos, The Red Baron, Hook Echo, Lazy Laceration and Mega STFW in Heat E.

- Oni's name and appearance derives from a type of yōkai in Japanese folklore.
- Oni was originally a middleweight at 343.0 when first designed, this was changed when his creator saw the woeful speed it ran at and beefed it up with a wider body and Z-Tek drive motors to make it somewhat more competitive.
